Administration and advocacy support

Support with the paperwork and the phone calls: understanding letters, completing forms and applications, and dealing with government and community services.

About this support

Paperwork can be a wall between a person and the help they are entitled to. Letters arrive in language nobody uses, forms ask for things that are hard to find, and every service seems to have its own process.

We sit down with you, work out what a letter is actually asking, fill in the form together and help you say what you need to say to a service provider. Where it helps, we keep notes so the story does not have to be told from the start every time.

What this can include

  • Assistance understanding letters and paperwork
  • Help completing forms and applications
  • Housing and accommodation applications
  • Support to communicate with service providers
  • Assistance navigating government and community services

Part of a connected team

Whatever the support, the way we work is the same. We stay in contact with your family, your support coordinator and your allied health professionals, and we keep documentation that shows what is happening across the plan period. That means the people who write assessments and reports have a clear picture, and you are not the one carrying the story between them.
